SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES (SDI) – INTRODUCTION

TrioPlus has designed a Two-stage Business Assessment that identifies the Developmental gaps of organisations, classifies the stage of business and this forms the foundation of the Supplier Development Programs. The assessment is conducted initially with the business owner and a preliminary set of business development findings are noted. The second stage will be a technical consultation with an industry expert.

The final assessment report will provide a clear understanding of business & technical development needs. When the developmental gaps within an organisation are clear, a developmental plan can be drafted to assist the entity to graduate to a greater level of credibility and sustainability.

TrioPlus classifies two key categories within its Supplier Development Programs.

SDI – SUPPLY ORIENTATED AND READY (SOAR)

The SOAR Supply Chain Readiness Program will be presented to allow alignment with the requirements of a Supply Chain and also prepare the entrepreneur for the compliance, adherence and operational efficiency expectations.

This program will address key aspects that we have found to be lacking in several active vendors and hindering their growth. By addressing these matters prior to entering the supply chain process these shortfalls are minimised and result in a improve vendor profile.

The topics to be covered during the program are:

TrioPlus has developed a mentoring methodology that is grounded on the principle of both personal development and then business development.

The key to the program is to align and connect the businesses to larger organizational supply chain requirements. This program will address the developmental gaps that the business may have, to become a credible business. These will be the gaps identified during a Formal Business Assessment.

Business Development via Structured Mentorship & Coaching program aimed at business growth and expansion.

+ The program time frame will be linked to the assessment outcome of each business. Gaps will be evaluated and KPI’s drafted to address the business challenges hindering growth. Generally, this program lasts 6 – 12 months, but could be expanded due to growth factors.
+ Candidates will comprise of businesses that require supply chain alignment or entities that have been part of a supply chain but that need to improve their deliverables

This methodology is the amalgamation of business mentoring and support, across sectors, across provinces, across income groups and across racial, gender, language, culture and creed profiles.
